University of Oxford


The Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, part of the University of Oxford was launched in 2003 as part of the Saïd Business School. It’s mission is to foster the help advance the cause of social entrepreneurship around the world.

It has the distinction of receiving the largest amount of funding for a business scholl for international programs on social entrepreneurship.

Course work

The Skoll Centre allows students to tailor their MBA program to focus on social entrepreneurship. Some electives include:

  1. Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation which explores the nature and range of social entrepreneurship and innovation in its international context
  2. Social Finance which investigates the development of social finance markets and the landscape of social investments
  3. Social Enterprise Design which encompasses design and development aspects of social ventures within their institutional context.
